Sack Ghostbusters or An upcoming career in fortune-telling for the authors of LBPObsession

by: Piglet on: 2009-07-10

The crew of the Little Big Planet Obsession fansite (that is, BigGigantHead and myself) is seriously considering to start a new on-the-side project - fortune-telling. I predict we would make a fortune out of it.
Don't believe us? Well, what if we told you that we foresaw that the MediaMolecule was sending out new Sack Ghostbusters costumes and that we were so sure about our prediction that we even published it on LBPObsession Twitter profile before the official news got out?
Impressive, hah?

Well...not so much so after you find out that a note announcing this very same event appeared on the official website some time ago  But still, that doesn't diminish our excitement! Who wouldn't want to be a sack Ghostbuster??

Certainly a very well accepted move. We wish to see more of these in the future!!

'Till next time, stay LBPObsessed!

The first successful testing of the new Sacktue of Liberty costume

by: Piglet on: 2009-07-02

When we heard that MediaMolecule was releasing another free costume in a really short time, we knew that we just had to have it, so we patiently waited until today (and maybe, just maybe, checked if the costume is already up a couple of times before it actually appeared...), and I got chosen for the honor and the pleasant task of having to check how the costume actually works on my Sack-lady.

I was (and still am, of course) simply enthusiastic in the little tiny crown made out of cardboard, and the little cardboard braids made me squeal of excitement. But the real purpose of my testing was actually the torch, since I (well, we) wanted to see if it actually sheds some light to those levels that might need sheding light on. We chose the "Darkness" level and much to my surprise, I found out that even though it does not provide a sufficient amount of light to be able to jump around without the light-carrying doggie, it does emanate a tiny glow. Not to mention that it looks incredibly stylish and much like the real one.
I was also pleasantly surprised by the fact that the costumes that you download for free (as well as probably the other downloadable and payable costumes which we are unable to check 'cause we cannot buy them, being the residents of a small, non-PS-supportable country, but we've already been through this, so I shall not mention it here) appear as a whole in a special section of the "Costume" part, so that you don't even have to dress your Sackperson step-by-step once, since the whole costume (the dress, the torch and the crown) is applied to your Sackperson if you only click on it. I found it pretty neat, I must say. And what's more, you can do the same thing with the Druid costume that was available for download about two weeks ago.

You still have a week to download your own Sacktue of Liberty costume, so hurry up if you want to celebrate the US Independence Day the Little Big Planet way!

Until next time, have fun and stay LBPObsessed!

Newest news from study break

by: Piglet on: 2009-06-01

I should have been studying. I know. But it's so much more fun to write a new LBP-oriented post about my last experiences :)
I am newly frustrated with the Boom Town level. I managed to get all the Prize Bubbles (with a humunguous help from BigGigantHead), managed to finish the level and now ace-ing the level is all there is left for me to do. Unfortunately, it seems easier than it looks, since I always get crushed by the bombs in the end and I almost forgot what the rest of the level looks like. Now I'm so upset by it that I don't even think about playing this level anymore and I play the easier ones instead. How lame is that?
Yesterday I witnessed the portrayal of Sackpersons as the sun was setting and I must admit that I find the pictures amazing (you can see them, too, since they can be found here). I promised that I'll knit some T-shirts and pants for those little sack tushies, but I got a bit too entangled into the web of the exams to think about miniature pants and sweaters. Besides it's summer anyway, so I guess they'll live through it without woolen clothes. But I'll get to it as soon as I find the time, I promise.
Now my mini-break from the wonders of French literature is over, so I guess I'll have to go back to the books. Promise to write again soon!

Bye,
Piglet

Sackmodel Photoshot in the wild

by: BigGigantHead on: 2009-05-31

Ah yes, we haven't been stagnating (maybe playing a bit too much of inFamous) with little big planet! Oh-no! We've been beating the system, so we got the free thingies of the on-line store although it doesn't work in out region of EU.

And ofcourse today we had a sackphotosession:

Sackpersons LBP tribute

You can see more on flickr. We might even make prints and send them to people who'd want them ;) ... we might ;) ... yes, we might ;) We'll see :)

Piglet here!

by: Piglet on: 2009-05-24

I thought it was about time that the world hears it from me as well, since this whole thing was after all launched on my birthday :)unfortunately, my LBP life is much less adventurous than the LBP life that's been presented to you so far by BigGigantHead. When there's a specially difficult level, I prefer to stay in the background, look pretty and let him do all the hard work, which also includes setting up this website. So I decided to become a bit more independent on both areas :) I started playing levels on my own and now I can get my sack tushy up to Boom Town without ever falling into the poisonous gas, getting burned by a flaming roller or being squished by something that just happens to be there. Unfortunately, my sackperson never manages to get past the bomb part of Boom Town, so that's something that my señorita and I are going to have to work on. And as far as this website goes, I'll try to make a contribution by stating my opinion every once in a while :) well, since in real life I can't be quiet for longer than 2 minutes (it's been scientifically checked!), I doubt the situation will be any different here, so you'll probably hear a lot from me.

Enjoy :)

Happy Birthday Piglet And LittleBigPlanetObsession!

by: BigGigantHead on: 2009-05-19

It's no coincidence that we chose this day, may 19th, for the launching of our dear fansite.

It's a special day: It's Piglet's 21st birthday! And as part of the present we are also starting this new website, fansite. Wheeeee!!

It was like waiting for presents. It's been complete now for a whole week and the wait was almost unbearable.:) But the day is now here and festivities are on! Yaay! Fiesta!
